A reader of one of my biographies sent me a letter through the website several years ago, asking if I would be interested in a diary written by a lady who served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War Two. The woman’s diary was about her incredible experiences during the war. Following my examination of the diary, I soon concluded that it was unique and that her story needed to be told. Following its publication, a few additional letters were received through the website. One of these letters was a love story of a German and Jewish woman who lived throughout the most heinous atrocities in the history of the world: Nazi Germany.
It wasn’t until lately that I realized the reason why these diaries were given to me, and I must say that I do feel a great deal of privilege to be the author of these wonderful stories. Due to the success of those two primary diaries, a number of additional fact-based novels based on the same theme were written.
It is a reward for an author to have touched a few lives and to have motivated others to share tales that were once considered taboo, according to the feedback that I have received. I want to express my gratitude to everyone for their support and encouragement, and I am looking forward to reading other people’s tales.
